July 2019 we had our gender reveal at my parents house up in Michigan. I knew pretty much as soon as I saw that blue smoke that my life would be filled with trucks, dirt, sports, and dinosaurs! My family only had girls and we mostly liked girly things in our house. I have two older sisters and my oldest sister has two girls. Greyson was the first boy in my family and first grandchild in my husband's family. I knew I wanted his nursery to be either woodland or dinosaur. I ended up going with woodland but he's always had dinosaurs sprinkled in there. He has a t-rex lamp, a dinosaur blanket, towels, pajamas, sheets, and stuffed dinos. We even sing a song about stegosaurus that I sang in my elementary school play every night before bed.
A few months ago we saw a post about a Dino Stroll coming to Green Bay at the Resch Center near Lambeau field. Our friend Kelsey texted us and asked if we would like tickets and we decided to take Greyson. She was so kind and bought our family tickets for the Saturday show. It poured rain all day today in Green Bay but nothing could have stopped us from going to see the dinos today! Grey wore his dino shirt, dino hat, and dino blanket and we headed to the exhibit. They had huge animatronic dinosaurs spread out inside of the event center. They had two outside that were hooked up to water that even "spit" water out at you! It was so nice to see so many families and kiddos enjoying an event together. It was really busy when we went but we brought Greyson's ear muffs on to help protect him from the loud noises and headed in. Part of tay-sachs is an exaggerated startle reflex and Greyson's is so strong. The ear muffs were a life saver for us. He even fell asleep right in the middle of the exhibit. How many people can say they took a nap surrounded by dinosaurs? :)
Thank you to Kelsey and her family for helping us going to Dino Stroll today!
xoxo,
