It's been awhile since I posted a blog. It's a good thing I suppose- nothing crazy new has been going on! Greyson has been *knockonwood* stable recently. Adam is kicking butt in nursing school (as per usual) and I'm doing pretty good too!
We've been trying to enjoy the warm weather with Grey and make summer memories. A few weeks ago Adam was on break between semesters in school. We decided to take it easy and do things together as a family. We met with our hospice team on Wednesday and our nurse told us we had to go to the Wednesday Farmers Market to get pesto fries and fresh fried cheese curds from a local restaurant there. We decided to pack up our new wagon and head down to check it out. We haven't been able to go that market yet because I typically work or Adam had school or something. It was so nice to get out of the house as a family! We also went to Costco for a family adventure :)
This is when we took a break during the farmer's market and you can see our cheese curds on the basket there- and in the seat pocket was candied cashews.

We had so many comments about our wagon when we were walking through the market. Most people made positive comments about how it looks like a Cadillac and how Grey looked like a king. We had a few "man, I need one of those!" or "I wish they had this when my kids were younger!". We had a few stares but I think it was just at the size of the wagon. We even fed Grey while we strolled through the vendors. It was nice to be able to take him out and have the ability to feed him while we are doing something. This was the first time we fed him outside like this and it worked out so well!
That weekend Auntie came to visit us and we decided to head outside again and have our lunch out there! We had this umbrella from Nana and Papa's old house and decided to put that up to keep Grey out of the sun. Auntie had her new camp chair and we set up in our front yard and soaked up some sun. The wind picked up- which is why Grey had his blanket on in the first picture- but it was so nice to be outdoors.
We also had Nana come visit us while Dada as at school. I was scheduled to close at work and Adam had to get to class before I would be home. Nana came over and hung out so Dada could leave. She stayed for a little while and soaked up some snuggles :)
This past week we had a pretty big storm come through our area. There were confirmed tornados in our surrounding areas but not near our house. The weather flipped SO fast though. I had gotten home from work around 1pm and Adam had clinicals at 2pm. He left shortly after I got home. Grey and I spent our afternoon snuggling, reading a few books, doing our stretches, and singing songs. While he was having his dinner, I laid down to watch some TV and felt pretty sleepy. Grey was sleeping so I shut my eyes while he finished his feed. Dada came home and woke me up and let me know he was home and he was going to do some homework. I fell back asleep until Grey's food alarm went off and as I was turning it off the wind seemed to be picking up. Adam came up stairs and said the radar looked really bad and said we needed to head to the basement. He scooped up Grey and headed downstairs. I ran upstairs to grab Greyson warmer clothes because our basement is pretty chilly. By the time I got to his room, grabbed pants and a sweatshirt, and came back downstairs the sky went DARK. The wind picked up that our little sapling near our house was bent in half. I grabbed Greyson's ppod and met my boys in the basement. We hunkered down there for awhile. The lights flickered and I got our flashlights ready. Thankfully the power never went out at our house and the storm ended within a 15 minutes or so. We came up and there were just a few branches in the road in in our yard, but no major damage at our house. A lot of people in our area were not as lucky though. Once the storm passed, the sky looked super eerie. The damage below and then the eerie sky.
My sweet coworker Joanne brought in this dinosaur for Grey this week. We've been using it while we stretch every day. He loves the feel of it- it's SO soft!!
Adam had to run to my parents house yesterday to use their printer so I gave Grey a bath and I can't believe how big he is now. My little burrito after the tub :) Look how tiny he was in his baby bath. We used to be able to give him a bath on our kitchen counter at our apartment. We would set up the tub, his towels, lotion.. Spa D'Greyson. Now we use the changing table Papa made for us.. still a spa, just bigger :)
Adam had clinicals this week and Grey told me he wanted to see Papa and Nana so we loaded up the car and headed over to their house. My Dad just had knee replacement surgery and is recovering. It's easier for us to come to him and it had been awhile. Greyson snuggled with Nana while he got his lunch and he slept so hard on her. We had to head home for his meds around 4pm and this was Greyson after leaving my parents house.. about 5minutes into our drive. Just zonked out!
With Father's day tomorrow- NTSAD asked us to share photos of our Rare Dad's. This is the post they made for Adam.

We just got Greyson's AFOs in too! We met with a doctor here in Green Bay to fit these for him. They are typically used for people to correct a problem in their feet/ankles. We aren't looking to necessarily correct Greyson's feet, but we don't want them to keep getting worse. Right now his feet point forward while he is relaxing. It's part of the stretches we do, but we can only do those with him for so long. These will only be worn an hour or so a day. Not anything that needs to be on all the time but it will just help him from getting worse.
They didn't have any dinosaur designs.. so we had to go with sharks!
This video was last week- after we did our costco adventure and the farmers market. Grey was so tired and was snoring :)
Grey was fighting a nap on me the other day too and was "yelling" at me. It was so cute.
I guess we do have a lot of new things happening :) but they have all been really good things. We just got back from a walk in our neighborhood with Grey while he had his lunch. We are heading to our friends house to have a BBQ tonight and see their little one. It's a gorgeous day here today - perfect weather. It's 70, sunny, light breeze, no humidity- Mama's kind of weather!!
We hope you all have a wonderful Father's day tomorrow too. We love all the Father's in our life. We will post some photos of all our families Father's tomorrow but we are off to the bbq now.
xoxo,
Kim
