Lake Superior is always good for the soul

This past week has been a little busy for us! A good busy though.

Our friends got married back home in Michigan this past Saturday. I worked the beginning half of the week and we headed home Thursday afternoon. It was so nice to be home. My sister Denise and my niece Ella were still there and we all stayed at my parents house. Thursday we hung out and Adam went to visit his Grandparents. Friday we went out to Gwinn to visit Adam's Dad and Jill. His sister Courtney came too. Saturday was the wedding and we left Greyson with my sister and parents. It was the first time we left Greyson with a family member in a really long time. It was nice to go out just the two of us, but man, I missed that kid! It's funny how you finally get a moment to be an adult and you end up talking about your child most of the time. The wedding was beautiful and we had mostly good weather. A big storm rolled in but it passed quickly. It was really nice to be with family and friends again. Adam and I are both vaccinated but we are still taking precautions to keep Greyson healthy. We still wear masks (despite the odd looks you get) and still use hand sanitizer often. We don't want to give anything to Grey that could make him sick.

Here is a picture of Grey from Thursday morning - I always sleep with one foot out and so does Grey. No matter how hard we try and tuck him in, he finds a way to get one tooter out of the blanket :) His arms are always up above his head like this. We call it the starfish!

This picture was from Thursday when we got to my parents house. Grey wanted to take a nap but he always has FOMO (Fear of missing out). If you zoom in on his right eye.. it's a littttle bit open! Tired, but never wants to miss anything!

Greyson got new jammies for our trip home! Of course, dino jammies :) He got to sleep in a queen bed all to himself. My sister even went in one morning to wake him up and I caught this cute picture on our monitor.

These are from the wedding. I bought a new dress from Amazon. My hair was still wet from the shower and I had to do my makeup in the car on the way there.. but we had fun :) Then the tent shows the storm coming our way.

While we were at the wedding, I got a lot of updates about Grey and this was my favorite picture. We gave Grey a bath before we left for the ceremony and I usually blow dry his hair. His hair is curly when it's wet so my sister wouldn't let me blow dry it. Instead she gave him the cutest mohawk and sent me this picture. Seriously, this kid is so handsome <3

Then I took this one on our way home from Michigan back to Wisconsin.

He slept most of the car ride there and back. His seizure meds make him a little sleepy so we just snuggled him up in the car and he used Mama's sweater for a pillow.

Other than that, we are doing another EEG this week to make sure his seizure medication is working and doing what it's supposed to. If it isn't working we can try something else or change the dosage. We are hoping we won't need more just because it's already making him sleepy as it is. I don't want him to be a zombie either.

We have another wedding this weekend in Madison so I'll post more later this week!
