It's all in the details.

I felt the need to capture small details today.

I had to work this morning and when I got home I gave Greyson his afternoon bottle and we snuggled before I laid him down for a nap. When I was feeding him, I couldn't get over how perfect his features are. I mean, I know I'm a smidge biased but my goodness, he's so handsome. He has the longest eyelashes. His nose has just a tiny little swoop and fits his face so perfect. He has a little dimple in his chin.. just like his Dada. We jokingly call it his butt-chin. His sweet hair that curls when it's wet- like Mama's. We had it cut for the first time in March because he was getting a mullet and that mullet is coming back. We had Grandma Jill cut it for us when her and Grandpa Steve were visiting us. He had his left hand wrapped around my pinky, helping me hold his bottle, while his right hand was resting on top of the burp cloth holding it in place for me. He's always been such a good helper :) He has the cutest fingers. They're long and his nails grow so fast. I just cut them the other day and they already need to be cut again. Then his sweet little belly, filling up with pediasure. Dada made a chocolate/strawberry concoction this afternoon for us! His legs are getting chunky again- which makes me so happy to see. When he was born, he had chicken legs. They were SO skinny and long. Then after giving him supplemental formula along with breastmilk he gained weight and gained it quickly. His legs got SO chunky, they couldn't fit in his footy jammies anymore. The wouldn't zip over his thunder thighs. It was hard to find jammie bottoms for awhile! Then his little toes. His third toe is longer than the others.. and doctors labeled it as a skeletal anomaly. He has almost like rounded toe nails, but his toes are so sweet. Everything about this kid is so stinkin' sweet.

Ever since we had our first sonogram of him, he sleeps with his arms up above his head or near his face. He still sleeps with his arms up straight above his head. He makes such a sweet "coo-ing" noise when he's sleeping. Like a sigh. He has been having dramatic yawns lately too. Big gasps and just lets it out. He has the best personality. He loves when its morning and we go into his room, and say "good morning" and open his curtains. We always get a big smile for that. We usually bring him into our room after that for some snuggles or head downstairs and open the living room curtains. He loves opening them when we say "good morning" to our neighborhood. He loves being outside and having the sun or wind hit his face. He loves the sound of birds, he loves snuggle, he loves when we walk with him up the stairs to his room and pretend he's walking up them. He loves reading books (especially his train, zoo, and garden books) and he loves music.

I am really thankful I get to be his Mama. I am definitely biased, but he is so stinkin' perfect.

xoxo,

Kim
