Try and stay positive. Stay in the moment. Stay focused on what you have today, not what is coming. Don't worry about the things you can't control, only focus on what you can. Don't let your mind go wandering to what the future, focus on the present.

All good advice. All things that we are working on. All things that are much easier said than done.

I think my mind wanders the most at night. Especially during bedtime with Greyson. He is so warm and snuggly. You can tell when he starts to fall asleep. His breathing gets deeper and slower, he sinks into my arms, and he usually makes this sweet coo-ing noise. That's something I look forward to with him. I love that time with him. The silver lining.

Another thing I love- is how much he LOVES water. I used to be a competitive swimmer when I was younger. I started on Watercats swim team when I was 5 and eventually swam for my high school team. I quit during college but anytime there is a pool or water- I'm in. Grey is the same way.. as long as it's warm enough! In my last blog post I talked about taking him to the CP center here in Green Bay. CP stands for cerebral palsy, but they help people with other conditions as well. We actually toured the CP center for a daycare for Grey when I was still pregnant. They were on the top of our list but had a long waitlist. They have children of all abilities in the same room and we loved that inclusion. Now we are visiting them each week to take Grey swimming in their therapy pool. Our physical therapists showed us different stretches and exercises to do with Grey in the water. We went last week and we honestly didn't know what to expect. It was absolutely amazing! The pool is big enough for a few people to "work out" in The staff was extremely helpful and even got us set up with some floaties for Grey. We did our therapy stretches and still had some time left so I used a hip float and a pool noodle to let Grey have some unsupported floating time. I just had to hold up his head. He loooooooved it!! He was smiling and making his exciting gasping noise. It was so nice to see and hear that again. The pool is heated and it was really relaxing. Dada came with us but didn't want to swim. He's not a fishy like we are :)

He wasn't so sure about the watermelon float. Without having muscle tone, this one was a little too hard for him. He couldn't keep himself up in it!

This is the outfit we always put him in when we have pool PT. We call it his Michael Phelps warm up suit :)

This is from tonight :) My sweet boy!

I am recording a podcast with my friend Erin this week on Wednesday. I'll make sure to share it once she posts it! I'm excited to "see" her on zoom and chat!

xoxo,

Kim
